About this item
A green enamel-on-bronze party badge, 3 cm diameter, worn by members of the Movimiento Latino Nacional in 1983 at party events in Quindío. The green enamel matches the party's signature colour, applied throughout the Quindío Libre newspaper and other party materials.
The pin bears the party name in gold lettering on the front, and — on the reverse — the maker's mark of the Armenia workshop that produced the initial run of approximately 500 badges, plus the initials C.L.R. stamped into the metal in the top-right of the reverse. That personal stamp identifies this specific badge as coming from Carlos Lehder Rivas's own drawer, not from the general distribution run.
Per Federico Lehder's records, this is one of a set of five badges Carlos kept for himself, of which three survive.
