The 8 June 1983 first edition of Quindío Libre, the newspaper of the Movimiento Latino Nacional — Carlos Lehder's political party. Printed in the signature green ink at the party's own press in Armenia, Quindío.
The paper's founding editorial argues that the US-Colombia extradition treaty is a nineteenth-century sovereignty violation, not a twentieth-century police cooperation. That argument — later vindicated by the 1991 Colombian Constitutional Assembly's Article 35 — is the paper's opening statement.
This specific copy is one of three known surviving first editions and the only one with Carlos Lehder's own handwritten margin notes. The annotations are on the political-cartoon page and appear to be editorial corrections for the second edition that never followed.
This item's proceeds fund at-risk children's art programmes in Colombia — 50% is directed to the Federico Lehder foundation, per the Federico Lehder archive stipulation.
