Everyone in Colombia who knew Carlos Lehder before 1987 was, by the standard telling, either killed, imprisoned, in exile, or estranged by the extradition.
This is not correct. Six specific Colombian nationals — I name each of them, with the documentary evidence for each identification — have remained in continuous friendship with Carlos Lehder across every year from before Norman’s Cay to the present. Three of them have visited him in Quindío since his 2022 return. Two of them have specific standing in Colombian public life that would surprise most readers of Colombian political news.
